Hi there! I’m the founder of Go Birthday Bananas, and like many of you, I wear multiple hats. For the past 18 years, I’ve been immersed in the tech industry, specifically the retail sector. However, my most demanding (and rewarding) role is being a parent of four amazing children.
As any parent knows, birthday parties can be a whirlwind of planning, catering to different personalities and needs. This is especially true when you have a mix of neurotypical and neurodiverse children. Between themes, activities, food, and finding the right suppliers, it can be painful and time consuming, not least extremely expensive!
That’s why Go Birthday Bananas was born.
We’re a community platform focused on building connections between parents and local businesses specialising in children’s birthday parties. We understand the challenges of planning inclusive celebrations, and our mission is to make it easier for everyone.
At Go Birthday Bananas, we will be:
- Building local community networks: Connecting parents with party entertainers, creative suppliers, venues, party rental companies and much more. Our aim is to build a single place where a parent can go to converse and connect with all the amazing local suppliers who can make your child’s birthday unforgettable.
- Providing resources and tips: We will be sharing snippets of wisdom and creative ideas for planning inclusive birthday parties that cater to all abilities and budgets.
- Showcasing local businesses: Giving the smaller, unique businesses a platform to showcase themselves along with other local suppliers
